Dental Inlays, Onlays & Fillings

Dental Inlays, Onlays & Fillings

We use the latest techniques to restore your bite

When your tooth has damage to the biting surface such as a cavity or a broken cusp, we have three techniques to repair it:

  • Fillings
  • Inlays
  • Onlays

At Doylestown Dental Solutions, we are sensitive to your experience during these procedures and make sure you’re comfortably relaxed and anesthetized at all times. Your comfort is a primary concern as we work to restore the functionality of your bite.

We offer all types of tooth fillings, including natural looking composite and porcelain materials. Our fillings are carefully applied and shaped to maintain the function of the tooth and a comfortable bite. We can also provide removal of amalgam restorations and mercury-free services for those that request them.

Similar to fillings, inlays are also made of composite resin, porcelain or other materials. They require two visits. During the first one, we prepare your tooth and make an impression of it, which is used to create the inlay. On the second, we cement the inlay into place and polish it. Throughout the process we make sure you’re comfortable. When it’s complete, you have a strong, durable tooth that looks, feels and functions like the original.

For more extensive tooth reconstruction, onlays are an alternative to crowns in some cases. Like inlays, an onlay is created and inserted over two visits. One for tooth preparation and mold-making, the other for delivery. Onlays let us preserve more of your original tooth, while restoring a natural appearance and full function.

Depending on the severity of your situation, we will advise you of your options and help you choose the right approach.

Went for a root canal and had an excellent experience. Dr Cherian took the time to explain things to me and kept checking on me, making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole procedure. He even called me at the end of the day to check on me. Thank you Dr Cherian. I’ve never had such a “pleasant” experience at the dentist office. Dunia R, New Hope PA
